J+J Offering New CEU Course

Dalton, GA, May 7, 2018-J+J Flooring is offering a new continuing education unit (CEU) course, Improving the Healthcare Environment: Flooring Section. It is a timely and comprehensive overview of the science that accurately describes the relationship between flooring and human health and safety in healthcare environments, with a particular focus on hospital performance.

The CEU draws on research helpful to practitioners of evidence-based design, the process of basing decisions about the built environment on credible research to achieve the best possible outcomes. Participants completing the course will achieve multiple educational and professional benefits, including the ability to understand the relationship between flooring and health and safety in hospitals; how to assess the infection prevention, IAQ, acoustic and safety properties of different floor coverings; and ways to identify flooring factors that can impact patient and staff outcomes.

The program is registered with the American Institute of Architects Continuing Education System (AIA/CES) and the Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC). It is accepted by American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and Interior Designers of Canada (IDC). The course is approved by The Center for Health Design for evidence-based design accreditation and certification (EDAC). The course also provides Health, Safety, Wellness (HSW) credit.

The course qualifies for 1 CEU.
