Home Prices Rise in April but at Slower Pace

New York, NY, June 24, 2014 -- Home prices in 10 major U.S. cities increased 10.8% in the year ended in April, according to the S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Index.

The 20-city index also increased 10.8%, down from a 12.4% annual pace in March.

Overall, prices are rising at a slower rate month-to-month, said David M. Blitzer, chairman of the index committee.
