Finkell Forming New Hardwood Company

Only, TN, April 3, 2014 -- Don Finkell, former head of hardwood maker Anderson, is getting back into business with a wood flooring startup called OEM Wood Floors.

Finkell, who retired last year from Shaw Industries, has reportedly formed the new company with former NWFA Chairman Wayne Cotton, who will oversee sales and marketing.

The new company will focus on the private label business, where Chinese companies have a firm foothold. It has purchased a former prison furniture factory in Tennessee and will reportedly use prison labor, along with regular employees, for production, which could begin by the end of the summer.
