Existing Home Sales Decline in November

Washington, DC, Dec. 19, 2013 -- Existing home sales fell 4.3% in November to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.9 million, according to the National Association of Realtors.

It was the third straight month of declines. November's sales pace, the slowest since last December, was below economists' expectations.

The November sales pace was also was down 1.2% from a year ago and was the first year-over-year drop in more than two years.

The median sales price of used homes hit $196,300 in November, up 9.4% from the year-earlier period.
