Consumer Confidences Declines in April

New York, NY, April 29, 2014 -- Consumer confidence edged down in April, according to the Conference Board.

The research group said its index fell to 82.3 in April from a reading of 83.9 in March. The March number was revised up from 82.3.

The Present Situation Index fell to 78.3 from 82.5, while the Expectations Index was essentially flat at 84.9 versus 84.8 in March.
