Armstrong Raising Vinyl Composition Tile Prices

Lancaster, PA, Dec. 2, 2013 -- Armstrong said it will raise prices 4% for its standard vinyl composition tile products effective Feb. 4.

The company said the increase is necessary due to rising costs for raw materials, wages, energy and other factors.

The company also said that it will begin a twice-a-year review of prices for the vinyl products, in May and November, with changes in February and August.

“Material pricing and the risk of inflation are critical factors when bidding on a commercial construction projects. A structured and predictable price review and adjustment provides certainty for our customers on their material costs and addresses their concern on inflation risk impacting the profitability of the project,” said Dominic Rice, vice president of commercial flooring.
