Tennant Earnings, Sales Fall in Quarter

Minneapolis, MN, Oct. 24, 2012 -- Tennant Company reported third quarter net earnings of $8.7 million, or $0.46 per share, on net sales of $178.3 million.

In the 2011 third quarter, Tennant reported net earnings of $9.7 million, or $0.50 per share, on record net sales for a third quarter of $187.0 million.

“After rising 4.7 percent in the 2012 first half, Tennant's sales in North America, our largest geography, declined 3.3 percent in the third quarter," said CEO Chris Killingstad.
