Shaw Planning To Open Healthcare Facility

Dalton, GA, March 21, 2013 -- Shaw Industries is planning to open its own healthcare facility as an extension of its own health and wellness program, The Dalton Daily Citizen reported.

The clinic will be operated by QuadMed, a national company specializing in operating corporate health clinics and it will be open for all employees and their dependents.

The facility will offer services typical of a primary care facility, and the idea is to make healthcare more accessible to employees, reduce wait times, and reduce costs. Reportedly, services such as same-day appointments will be available.

Plans call for the center to have one physician on staff and a mix of nurse practitioners and other health care professionals.
