Services Sector Continues To Expand

Washington, DC, March 5, 2013 -- The services sector of the economy grew at a slightly faster pace in February and expanded for the 39th straight month, according to the Institute for Supply Management.

ISM said its survey of purchasing managers rose to 56 last month from 55.2 in January.

Economists had expected the index to remain unchanged. Reading over 50 indicate more companies are expanding than contracting.
