Pergo Gets New German Fold-Down Patent

Baar, Switzerland, Sept. 9, 2010--Laminate flooring maker Pergo said it has been granted an additional German patent for its fold-down technology.
 
The patent is based on an application filed in 2004 and was granted on August 12.  The patent relates to joint systems utilizing a separate tongue-element, which shifts into a locking position after installation, such as those that are pushed from the side. 
 
"Our new patent greatly expands the coverage of our Fold Down patent portfolio to ensure comprehensive coverage of joint systems utilizing vertical assembly," says Ralf Eisermann, CEO of Pergo AG.
