Washington, DC, June 11, 2013 -- More employers say they are expecting to hire in the third quarter, according to Manpower’s employment-outlook survey.
A net of 12% of employers said they plan to add to their workforce in the third quarter, up one percentage point from both the second quarter and the third quarter of 2012. That's a four-year high.
The Manpower report, a survey of more than 18,000 employers, measures the percentage of firms planning to hire minus the percentage of those intending layoffs.
All 13 industry sectors have a net positive employment outlook for the third quarter.
