Mullican Brings More Production to U.S.

Johnson City, TN, Jan. 21, 2014 -- Hardwood firm Mullican Flooring is moving production of its engineered RidgeCrest Collection to the U.S. from Asia.

The RidgeCrest Collection joins four other collections introduced in 2013 -- LincolnShire, HillShire, San Marco and Ponte Vedra -- that are also manufactured domestically.

The RidgeCrest Collection will be the first half-inch engineered product Mullican has manufactured in the U.S. Offered in an array of oak, hickory and maple selections, RidgeCrest is available in 3- and 5-inch widths.

“As a result of the success Mullican has seen with the production of the new engineered collections, it makes sense to move the RidgeCrest Collection to the U.S. as well,” says Brian Greenwell, vice president of sales and marketing for Mullican Flooring.

“Today’s consumers are looking for readily available Made-in-America products. Manufacturing RidgeCrest at the Johnson City plant will meet that demand.”

In 2012, Mullican moved to larger headquarters in Johnson City, where it installed equipment for manufacturing engineered hardwood floors for the first time in the U.S.
