Mortgage Rates Remain Near Historic Lows

Washington, DC, June 20, 2014 -- Average fixed mortgage interest rates fell slightly this week and remain near historic lows.

Freddie Mac said Thursday the average rate for a 30-year loan fell to 4.17% from 4.20% last week. The average for the 15-year mortgage fell to 3.30% from 3.31%.

Mortgage rates are about 25 basis points higher than they were a year ago.
