Mohawk, Unilin Raising Hardwood Prices

Dallas, TX, Aug. 28, 2013 -– Mohawk and Unilin have both announced price increases for hardwood flooring products.

Both cited higher costs for raw materials.

Mohawk's increase on select Mohawk branded products is effective Oct. 21.

Unilin, part of Mohawk Industries, said its increases will take effect Sept. 30 and will apply to both its Columbia and Century brands.

Neither firm said what percentage the increases would be.
