Mohawk Leads Flooring Stocks Higher

New York, NY, Dec. 19, 2013 -- Stocks of publicly traded flooring companies rose with the market on Wednesday, led by Mohawk Industries, which closed at $146.47, up $6.67 or 4.77%.

Among other firms, Interface and Armstrong were up nearly 3%. Dixie Group was up fractionally.

Earlier in the day Moody's Investors Service upgraded Mohawk senior unsecured rating to Baa3 because of its strong operating performance and credit metrics and the expectation for continued improvement.
