Deerfield Beach, FL, March 9, 2010--In January, adhesives maker Mapei signed a partnership agreement to participate in the Global ReLeaf program with American Forests, the nation’s oldest citizen-based environmental organization.
To mark the introduction of urethane wood adhesives into its Ultrabond ECO line, Mapei is contributing $1 from each pail sold in 2010 to plant a tree via the Global ReLeaf program.
Mapei said it has pledged a minimum of $200,000 in 2010 to American Forests through Global ReLeaf, which should help the organization plant 200,000 trees.
American Forests has a goal of 100 million trees planted by 2020.
