J+J Assumes Control of Water Reuse System

Dalton, GA, Sept. 4, 2013 -- J+J Flooring Group said it has assumed full-time operational responsibilities for its ECOCYCLE/Aquafinity industrial water reuse system from Aqua-Chem Inc.

The two companies designed and developed the first dyehouse wastewater reuse system for the carpet industry, and partnered in the day-to-day running of the system to improve operational parameters and finished product quality.

J+J said it sought technology to reduce the company's water usage by 66 percent by 2020 as part of its 20/20 Sustainability Vision.

The system includes heat recovery, multiple filtration steps and membrane technology to treat wastewater for reuse in industrial applications.

Approximately 68 percent of J+J's dyehouse waste effluent is treated using Aqua-Chem's technology.
