Interface Sales Up 1.2% in the Second Quarter

Atlanta, GA, July 30, 2015—Interface reported sales of $263.6 million, a 1.2% increase, compared to $260.6 million in the same quarter of the previous year.

Net income during the second quarter of 2015 increased to $21.7 million, or $0.33 per share, compared with net income of $13.1 million, or $0.20 per share, in the second quarter last year.

For the first six months of 2015, sales increased 4.4% to $500.5 million, compared with $479.6 million in the first six months last year. On a currency neutral basis, sales in the first half of 2015 were $543.8, up 13.4% compared with the first half of 2014.

Corporate office growth was 12%, with non-office growth of 3%. In the non-office segment, gains from education, hospitality, and government were offset by declines in retail and healthcare.

The FLOR business reported a record sales quarter, with growth of 3.9%. Higher internet sales drove the growth there.
