Initial Jobless Claims Edge Lower

Washington, DC, Dec. 18, 2014 -- Initial claims for unemployment benefits fell last week by 3,000 to a seasonally adjusted 294,000, according to the Labor Department.

The four-week average ticked up 250 to 299,250.
