IICRC Mold Standard No Longer ANSI

Vancouver, WA, —March 6, 2013— -- The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification said the ANSI/IICRC S520: 2008 Standard and Reference Guide regarding the remediation of mold-damaged structures and contents is no longer an ANSI standard.

However, it will continue to be available electronically as an IICRC Standard.

The standard is nearing the five-year mark for the ANSI revision cycle, and the new Consensus Body is currently working to revise and create an updated and streamlined standard.

The revised version is expected to be published towards the end of 2013.
