Pearl River, NY, Jan. 16, 2013 -- Hunter Douglas has acquired Gulf Coast Window Covering of Houston for an undisclosed price, according to the Charlotte Business Journal.
The two operations will merge by the end of March.
Two Gulf Coast Window Covering executives, Bill Gaul, chief executive, and Tom Connell, president, will remain at the company “for an extended period of time” to help with transition, the newspaper reported.
Gulf Coast is a manufacturer and distributor of Hunter Douglas custom products.
The Hunter Douglas window designs division is based in North Carolina. Hunter Douglas is a Dutch company.
