Raleigh, NC, Oct. 29, 2012 -- Horizon Forest Products and Long Floor said they have merged.
The two companies, which have been working logistically as one company for five years, will now operate under one name, Horizon Forest Products.
The merger will legally seam together the five branches of Horizon Forest Products and the four branches of Long Floor.
The company’s nine branches serve customers from Maryland to South Carolina.
Horizon Forest Products recently opened its newest branch in Sterling, Virginia.
Company Vice President, David Williams, says that operating the company under one company name will help streamline business operations and maximize efficiency and productivity. It will also allow the company to strengthen its brand within a highly-competitive hardwood products industry.
Horizon Forest Products employs over 100 people and operates in North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, and Virginia. The company offers prefinished and unfinished flooring, abrasives, adhesive, stain, underlayment, finish, maintenance products, and wood accessories.
