Home Price Increases Slow in October

New York, NY, Dec. 31, 2013 -- Home prices in most U.S. cities increased at a slower pace in October, according to the Standard & Poor's/Case-Shiller 20-city home price index.

The index rose 0.2% from September to October, down from a 0.7% increase from August to September.

Prices have risen 13.6% over the past 12 months, the fastest since Feb. 2006.
