Federal Officials Visit Dalton Manufacturers

Dalton, GA, Dec. 9, 2014 -— Representatives from the U.S. Office of Textiles and Apparel visited Dalton Nov. 5 to tour manufacturing facilities, according to the Carpet and Rug Institute.

The group from OTEXA met with Jenn Mendez, CRI vice president of government relations, and visited Shaw Industries' R&D and manufacturing facilities in Cartersville along with J+J Flooring Group's facility in Dalton.

"The group from OTEXA was very impressed with the manufacturing facilities," Mendez said. "It was a great opportunity to showcase our industry and build relationships with the organization."
