Economic Growth Should Accelerate Next Year

Washington, DC, Jan. 14, 2013 -- The U.S. economy should grow by 2.5% in 2013, according to Chicago Fed president Charles Evans.

He noted the economy should grow at a 3.5% clip next year.

Evans also forecast the U.S. unemployment rate would be 7.4% this year, easing to about 7% in 2014.

Evans spoke at the Asian Financial Forum in Hong Kong.
