Dixie Group, Desso in Joint Venture

Chattanooga, TN, Feb. 10, 2014 -- The Dixie Group said its commercial division Masland Contract has signed a joint venture agreement with Desso Holding BV.

The company said its intent is to build a comprehensive floorcovering offering for the hospitality market in the U.S. as well as international distribution.

Both companies will be able to provide complementary product lines.

Dixie Group will also become the exclusive distributor of certain Desso tile products in the U.S.

This arrangement is conditioned upon achievement of certain sales levels and the successful launch of the hospitality joint venture.

The Dixie Group has nine facilities for manufacturing, distribution and yarn processing in the U.S.

Desso is a leading tile manufacturer in Europe, with two factories and a major distribution center.
