Dixie Group, Desso Terminate Joint Venture

Chattanooga, TN, Nov. 26, 2014 -- Dutch carpet firm Desso and The Dixie Group have terminated their joint sales venture agreement.

The move comes after Desso agreed to be acquired by French flooring firm Tarkett.

Desso and Dixie division Masland Contract were working together to sell both companies' products into the U.S. market, particularly into the hospitality industry.
 
Desso said it will remain active in the commercial tiles business as well as the hospitality industry in North America.
 
The companies said running orders will continue to be serviced by the respective individual sales representatives.
