Dal-Tile Gets Industry-First EPD for NA Production

Dallas, TX, April 18, 2014 -- Dal-Tile said it recently completed the Environmental Product Declaration development process for all products manufactured in the company’s North American production facilities.

With third party validation from PE International and certification by UL Environment, Dal-Tile is the first manufacturer in the ceramic tile category to voluntarily disclose cradle-to-grave impacts from its products--Daltile, American Olean, Marazzi USA and Ragno--with UL Environment certified EPDs.

An EPD is a comprehensive, international report that documents the ways in which a product, throughout its lifecycle, affects the environment. An EPD tells the complete sustainability story of a product in a single, written report.
