London, England, Oct. 17, 2012 -- Carpetright posted a small rise in second quarter sales at its core UK business, the company reported.
The group said sales at British stores open for more than a year rose by 0.6% in the 12 weeks to October 13.
However, total sales in the UK fell by 0.6% due to a reduction in store numbers.
The group, which makes around 80% of sales in the UK from 484 stores, said its expectations for the full-year remained unchanged.
