CRI Adds Products to Seal of Approval List

Dalton, GA, Aug. 24, 2012 -- The Carpet and Rug Institute has added a number of products to its Seal of Approval testing and certification program for carpet cleaning products and equipment.

With nineteen new vacuums, seven solutions, one extractor and three new systems, the SOA total now stands at 914. Here are the most recent additions to the SOA program.

Vacuums
In the vacuums category five companies have newly-certified machines.
From Riccar, a division of the Tacony Corporation of Fenton, Missouri, come three new SOA-approved models certified at the Gold Level: the Riccar Vibrance, Riccar Vibrance Deluxe and Riccar Vibrance Standard household uprights. The company added its Riccar Immaculate and Riccar Impeccable household canisters at the Bronze Level.
 
Simplicity, also a division of Tacony, adds these three household uprights at the Gold Level of certification: Simplicity Symmetry Premium; Simplicity Symmetry Deluxe, and Simplicity Symmetry Standard. Simplicity also adds its Simplicity Moxie and Simplicity Gusto household canister models to the SOA Bronze Level.
 
Continuing under the Tacony banner, the Tacony Clean Max brand's CMBP-6 Clean Max Backpack Vac earned Bronze-Level approval, as did Tacony's Vac Pro division's SCBP-1 Carpet Pro Backpack.
 
Panasonic Commercial Vacuum Cleaners of Secaucus, New Jersey, adds its Panasonic MC-GG523 Vacuum Cleaner, Panasonic MC-GG525 Vacuum Cleaner; Panasonic MC-GG529 Vacuum Cleaner, and Panasonic MC-UG725 Vacuum Cleaner to the SOA Silver Level and its Panasonic MC-UG729 Vacuum Cleaner to the SOA Bronze Level.
 
Dustbane Products Ltd., of Ottawa, Canada, has added two more vacuums to the SOA rolls: its QS2 commercial upright was certified at the Silver Level and QS1 commercial upright earned Bronze-Level certification.

Cleaning Solutions
In the Solutions category, SOA-veteran Diversey of Sturtevant, Wisconsin, has added its Percolator and General Purpose pre-sprays to the SOA program.
 
Located in Irving, Texas, Ecolab increases their SOA participation with the addition of the company's Clean Strike Ready to Use Carpet Spot & Stain Remover, 3-In-1 Carpet Cleaner, and ProForce Carpet Cleaner.
 
Electrolux Home Care Products, Inc., of Charlotte, North Carolina introduces two new products to SOA Solutions: the company's Arm & Hammer Dry Carpet Cleaner and Arm & Hammer Pet Fresh Dry Carpet Cleaner
        
Crypton, Inc. of West Bloomfield, Michigan, adds its first product to the SOA family: its Crypton Carpet Cleaner in-tank cleaning solution.

Extractors
The SOA extractor program has grown by one in recent weeks, with the inclusion of the Clarke Clean Track L24, Battery self-contained unit. The model enters at the Bronze Level, and brings the company's total to seven SOA-approved extractors.

Systems
The Systems category welcomes a newcomer to the list of SOA participants. Orbio Technologies, a Tennant Company Group headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, has earned Platinum-level certification for its Orbio® Multi-Surface Cleaning Solution System. Congratulations to Orbio Technologies.
 
The Kaivac Company of Hamilton, Ohio has added two new systems at the SOA Silver Level: the Kaivac No Touch Cleaning (Kaivac KV1750) and Kaivac No Touch Cleaning (Kaivac KV2150)
