Budget Fight Hurting Economy, Survey Says

Washington, DC, Feb. 26, 2013 -- The budget squabble in Washington is slowing the U.S. economy, according to economists surveyed by the Associated Press.

AP reports that many of the economists think consumers are holding back spending due to higher tax burdens.They also worry that the impasse will continue through much of the year and slow economic growth.

The second largest factor cited by the economists is anemic job growth, followed by government regulation and taxes.
