Shaw Forms Australian Contract Group

Cartersville, GA, Aug. 25, 2009--Shaw Commercial Division has formed the Shaw Contract Group Australia, the exclusive distributor and sales organization for Shaw commercial products in Australia.

This is the result of Shaw’s acquisition of Purchasing Solutions.

“As a wholly owned subsidiary of Shaw Industries Group, Shaw Contract Group Australia brings local expertise combined with award-winning products, quality and design from the world’s largest carpet manufacturer to this growing market,” says John Davis, vice-president of International Sales.

Purchasing Solutions began supplying Shaw products to the Australian New Zealand markets in 2006.

Shaw Contract Group Australia will maintain its headquarters in Melbourne, with a team of sales representatives who will service all states throughout the country and in New Zealand.

In addition to Shaw Contract Group Australia, Shaw Contract Group operates around the world with showrooms in London, Singapore and Shanghai, New York City, Chicago and San Francisco.
