MFA Holds First General Assembly Meeting

Calhoun, GA, September 13, 2017-The Multi-Layer Flooring Association welcomed new members at its first annual general assembly, held July 26 and 27 in Dalton, Georgia.

The newly formed association has gathered to define the innovative, robust category of multi-layer polymer composite flooring.

The rigid flooring class has taken the market by storm due to the technology originality, inherent performance qualities, and availability. However, the category has yet to be defined with criteria that adheres to the core composition and capabilities of the product. The MFA has gathered to identify this new category, including various rigid core LVT products setting industry standards regarding performance, terminology, safety and sustainability.

The Association joins fifteen of the most influential flooring suppliers, including Armstrong, CFL, EarthWerks, IVC, Karndean, Mannington, Metroflor, Mohawk, MP Global, Novalis, Pak Lite, PLI, Shaw, TORLYS, and USFloors.

Board members were also established and will be represented as follows: president: Harlan Stone, Metroflor; vice president: Philippe Erramuzpe, US Floors; secretary: Jamey Brock, Armstrong; treasurer: Mark Hansen, Novalis.
