Metroflor's Aspecta Begins Reclamation Program

Norwalk, CT, Oct. 2, 2014 -- Aspecta, Metroflor's new LVT brand, said it has launched a free one-call reclamation service called Revise.

The process now enables contractors to return installation cuttings or replaced vinyl flooring to the company to be recycled.

Depending on current demand from the factories, reclaimed content will either be used for backing material in other Metroflor branded products, or it may be processed into car, boot or floor mats, for example, the company said.

Any vinyl flooring removed as part of the installation process can be included. However, if it is not a Metroflor product, it will need to be tested in advance.

The company said that products with too much filler or hazardous content or adhesive may not be eligible and it is the contractor’s responsibility to keep the recycled content clear of foreign debris.
