Magnificent Carpets Honored at AmericasMart

Atlanta, GA, Jan. 15, 2009--The best area rugs on the market were honored during the America’s Magnificent Carpets Awards Jan. 10 at AmericasMart in Atlanta.

The annual awards ceremony is the signature event of the Atlanta International Area Rug Market featuring The National Oriental Rug Show.

$23.01-$35 per square foot: Safavieh
$35.01-$46 per square foot: French Accents
$46.01-$56 per square foot: Creative Touch
$56.01-$65 per square foot: Shalom Brothers
$65.01+ per square foot: Capa Imports

Power-loomed
$0-$200 per square foot: Marcella Fine Rugs
$200.01-$400 per square foot: Couristan
$400.01-$1,000 per square foot: Karastan
$1,000.01+: Karastan

Buyer’s Choice Award: Capa Imports

Additionally, one showroom on each of the Area Rug floors received the Visual Display Award, which recognizes extraordinary visual merchandising innovations.

This year, the Visual Display Awards went to Nourison, Loloi, Marcella Fine Rugs and Surya.
