INSTALL Adds Endorsers

St. Louis, MO, July 29-- Six manufacturers from the United States and Canada who learned more about the International Standards and Training Alliance (INSTALL) during Surfaces 2004 have become formal endorsers of the training program. This recent influx of new alliance brings the total to 28 members - more than five times the number of mills and manufacturers were part of the alliance a year ago. The newest members of INSTALL are: D&D Manufacturing, Inc., FlashCove Pre-Fabricated Bases, Inc., Helmitin Adhesives, MAPEI, Inc., Taylor Tools, and Tek Stil Concepts, Inc. “Quality, professionalism and training go a long way in such a dynamically changing industry like ours. MAPEI builds its business around these three elements, and we are proud to support an organization like INSTALL, which shares the same philosophy,” said MAPEI’s Dave Hamilton, regional sales manager of Western Canada. INSTALL provides a multi-year classroom and on-the-job training program for floor covering installers throughout North America. The program was created through the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and is steered by a 12-member labor management committee.
