Engineered Floors Plant to be Second Largest Building in Georgia

Dalton, GA, October 20, 2016—When Engineered Floors completes the expansion of a plant to two million square feet, it will have the second largest manufacturing facility in Georgia, reports the Times Free Press, and the world's largest carpet plant.

Engineered Floors was founded six years ago by Bob Shaw and now has 3,000 employees. The company is currently in the fourth phase of expansion out of a possible five.

Once the fourth stage is completed, only Lockheed Martin's manufacturing facility will be larger.

Engineered Floors has four manufacturing plants in total.
