St. Louis, MO, Sept. 18--Seven companies within the floorcovering industry are the newest members of The International Standards and Training Alliance (INSTALL).
Couristan, Desso Carpets USA, Milliken, Para-Chem, Southland Flooring Supplies, Sponge Cushion, and W.F. Taylor Company join 13 existing flooring industry leaders in a show of growing support for the high level of standards and training established by INSTALL.
"INSTALL is unique because its curriculum is driven by ongoing counsel from technical and educational representatives from major mills and manufacturers," said Jim Schmid, INSTALL International Director. "We look forward to working with these and all of our alliance members to keep INSTALL training the most current for what is needed in today’s marketplace."
INSTALL represents the industry’s only four-year classroom and on-the-job training program for residential, commercial and institutional floorcovering installers. INSTALL standards and training are certified by the labor departments of the U.S. and Canadian governments, and are quickly becoming the industry standard for training professional floorcoverers.
