Ceramics of Italy Sponsoring Design Contest

New York, NY, Aug. 19, 2011 -- Ceramics of Italy has partnered with Architizer to launch the Ceramics of Italy Exhibit Design Challenge.

Architects have until Oct. 3 to submit their designs for a 3,000 square foot Italian tile exhibit to be built at Coverings 2012 in Orlando, Florida.

At stake is a $25,000 prize package and the chance to follow in the footsteps of prominent studios such as Arquitectonica, Aldo Rossi and Bernard Tschumi.

Architizer is an online community.

While architects are permitted relatively free artistic reign, the exhibit designs will incorporate a restaurant and café where the Pavilion’s long-running Italian culinary team will serve pasta and other authentic Italian refreshments every day of the show, as well as a space for an information desk.
