Jackson, MS, October 4, 2006--At a ceremony during the National Tile Contractors Association’s (NTCA) Total Solutions conference at the Las Vegas Hilton, Frank Canto of Craig Tile in St. Petersburg, Fla., was named NTCA president.
Outgoing president Don Scott, of David Allen Company in Raleigh, N.C., moved to the chairman of the board position.
Other executive committee officers and board members were introduced. Executive committee members include Nyle Wadford of Neuse Tile, Youngsville, N.C., as second vice-president and John Cox of Cox Tile, San Antonio as first vice-president. New board members include Carl Harris of Interceramic as manufacturing representative, Tim Connelly of Custom Building Products as allied representative, Ed Strickland of Tile Crafters, Apex, N.C., for Region 4 and Dave Purdy of Creative Touch Interiors, Aurora, Colo., for Region 11.
Regional directors concluding their two-year terms were also recognized. These included Jim Harrington of Dalene Flooring, South Windsor, Conn., Region 1; Nyle Wadford of Neuse Tile, Region 4; Barry Kemna of Kemna Tile, Dallas, Region 9, Greg Andrews of Greg Andrews Tile, Agoura Hills, Calif., Region 12 and James Woelfel of Artcraft Granite Marble & Tile, Mesa, Ariz., Region 11. Harrington and Kemna each signed on for another term.
Also concluding their terms were Steve Lima of Bostik, allied representative, and Scott Fleming of Oceanside Glasstile, manufacturing representative.
