Mohawk Group Adds Re:work Workshops

Marietta, GA, May 22, 2009--The Mohawk Group, in sponsorship with Interior Design magazine and the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), is expanding its free Re:work program, a seminar-style workshop to help displaced architects and designers.

"The response to Re:work has exceeded our expectations," said Al Kabus, president of The Mohawk Group.

"We're pleased and humbled by our ability to offer needed resources and support through Re:work. It's a small gesture that seems to be going a long way in helping people get back on their feet."

The first three events were met with capacity registration. The Mohawk Group is extending Re:work beyond its next two scheduled cities, Dallas (May 27) and Chicago (June 25), to include Seattle, Portland, Ore., Washington, DC and Phoenix. Dates will be announced and posted on the Re:work registration site.

"I've attended many job hunting, resume and interviewing skills seminars over the years and this Re:work offered so much more," said Rita of Lake Forest, Calif.

"This positive learning experience gave me insight into the current trends of the marketplace and how I can leverage them in my own job hunt - something I can put into practice immediately."

The seminars provide opportunities to work with experts on resume writing, financial planning, interview skills, portfolios and career coaching as well as industry insight from architects and designers. The events are CEU-accredited (.4 CEU credits) by IDCEC.

To help reach smaller markets across the country, The Mohawk Group is also working to develop a Re:work webinar series. To date, more than 500 architects and designers have registered for the Re:work events.

Participants must register to attend and visitors to the Re:work website are encouraged to nominate a city as a future host of the series. For more information about Re:work and to register, visit www.themohawkgroup.com/rework. You can also connect with The Mohawk Group and Re:work on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.
