CCA Global Partners Offers Bulk Buying Services

Manchester, NH, Oct. 27, 2008--CCA Global Partners has launched a company that will allow any business to take advantage of the power of buying in bulk, according to the Union Leader newspaper.

The new company, BizUnite, will offer savings to companies that pay for its services on everything from credit-card processing to shipping. It will also offer marketing and other services to clients.

"What we really want to do is take our business platform to businesses around the world, so they can compete with the big boys," said Howard Brodsky, CCA Global Partners' co-CEO, and CEO of BizUnite.

The idea for BizUnite, which launched this summer, came after other businesses expressed an interest in taking advantage of CCA's cooperative buying power.

The massive co-op, which has more than 3,600 affiliated stores and upwards of $10 billion in aggregate annual sales, is able to secure deals on myriad services due to its buying power. As a result, each affiliated store can get a deal on goods and services. It's similar to buying products in bulk at a warehouse club as opposed to buying one item at a convenience store.

That buying power helps put small firms in a better position to compete against larger firms, particularly large chains and conglomerates.

"We think we give them world-class resources to create a better playing field," Brodsky said.

The idea for BizUnite came when other businesses asked if they could buy into CCA's service portfolio, Brodsky said. There was enormous interest among those firms, and a huge potential market.

"We think we can take that same format and export it to other industries," Brodsky said. "There are 25 million small businesses today. The number of small businesses is not decreasing -- it's increasing."

Membership is open not only to other business groups -- for which prices vary -- but also for small independent businesses, for which BizUnite's services cost $99 per month.

Brodsky said companies would see savings well in excess of that cost, with discounts often on the order of 10 to 20 percent for services purchased, and sometimes more. Savings will vary depending on volume and the service, but the discounts can be significant.

For instance, Brodsky said BizUnite members could save 15 percent on buying mobile phone service from Sprint Nextel Corp. They could also save 30 to 50 percent on shipping with FedEx Corp., Brodsky said.
