W.F. Taylor Moves Headquarters from Southern California to Dalton

Dalton, GA, June 23, 2016—W.F. Taylor is moving its corporate headquareters from Fontana, California to Dalton, Georgia into a leased facility just off I-75 on College Drive. The firm will continue to operate manufacturing facilities in both Dalton and Fontana.

Taylor, a leading producer of installation adhesives in the floorcovering business, was founded by chemist "Wally" Taylor in 1977 and has been a California based business since the beginning. Private equity firm, Dominus Capital, purchased the firm in May 2015. For the 26 years prior to that, Taylor was privately owned by the Raidy family.

The newly appointed CEO, Dan Pelton, commented yesterday at the ribbon-cutting event for Taylor's new headquarters that, "today marks the beginning of the future for W.F. Taylor. He hinted, both at the ribbon cutting facility and during his FloorDaily audio interview with Kemp Harr (listen here), that there was an eminent acquisition on the horizon that would bring more growth for the futre.

Taylor has a strong mix of branded and private label business. For years it has led the industry in sustainably focused materials and today nearly all of its products are Greenguard certified. And while its first products were developed for the installation of broadloom carpet, it now offers products specifically tailored for carpet tile, hardwood, laminate and resilient flooring.

Taylor's decision to move its headquarters to Dalton was motivated by the need to have more of its staff closer to its customer base which is centered in northwest Georgia.
