Volkswagen Chooses Chattanooga for New SUV
Chattanooga, TN, July 14, 2014 -- Volkswagen said it will invest $600 million to build a new seven-passenger SUV at its factory in Chattanooga.

The move will add about 2,000 factory jobs.
A new research center will also employ about 200 engineers.
Production is scheduled to start at the end of 2016.
The company said it will add about 538,000 square feet to the existing factory to build the new SUV.
