Submission Period for Innovations@DOMOTEX Opens Mid-Month
Hannover, DE, August 6, 2015—Acceptance of exhibitor applications for the 2016 Innovations@DOMOTEX showcase opens in mid-August.
The showcase, now in its third year, gives DOMOTEX exhibitors the chance to gain added exposure for their new products.
Exhibitors will have from mid-August until November 3 to submit innovations in the following product categories: textile floor coverings/fibers and yarns; resilient floor coverings; parquet, wood and laminate flooring; modern handmade carpets; application and installation technology.
To enter, exhibitors must lodge their submission documents online. If they wish, they can also send in supporting product samples. Participation in Innovations@DOMOTEX is free of charge for DOMOTEX exhibitors.
The best products will be selected from among the submissions in mid-November by an expert jury headed by the noted German industrial designer Stefan Diez.
In 2016, the Carpet Design Awards 2016 will again be held in conjunction with Innovations@DOMOTEX. Accordingly, the best new products from among the submissions in the Modern handmade carpets category will be selected by an international Carpet Design Awards jury made up of design and carpet industry experts headed by the London-based designer Michael Sodeau.
During DOMOTEX, special Innovations@DOMOTEX display areas in halls 6, 9 and 17 will provide an overview of the selected product innovations. The Innovations@DOMOTEX showcase will be supported by a visitor guidebook that visitors can use to research the featured products and plan their visit. And leading figures from the architecture and design scene will run guided tours and give theme-specific talks during which they will provide their own unique perspectives on DOMOTEX’s products, manufacturers and display stands.
