Store-Within-A-Store Concept for Rug Sales Targets Furniture Retailers

Simsbury, CT, August 5, 2015—A group of furniture industry veterans has created a new concept called the International Rug Group (IRG) that will enable furniture retailers to sell area rugs through a store-with-a-store concept, according to furnituretoday.com.

IRG provides product, equipment, staff and supplies for the gallery, and the retailer simply provides the space and some support. No financial investment is required by the retailer.

In October 2014, IRG launched these galleries in four Kittle’s Furniture stores in Indiana and Ohio. Kittle’s CEO Eric Easter reports seeing a boost in sales as a result of the installations and plans to expand the program to additional Kittle's locations.

IRG also offers trunk show events and website and ecommerce services for retailers as well as products serving the commercial and hospitality markets.
