Dalton, GA, June 28, 2012 -- Shaw Industries has released its fourth annual Global Reporting Initiative corporate sustainability report.
The company said the new report, titled Sustainability at Work, meets the GRI B+ disclosure requirements and involved an independent review process.
Shaw said the report reflects Shaw’s progress towards greater environmental and social responsibility during 2011, while highlighting the company’s commitment to Sustainability.
Shaw said the report itself marks the second year it has achieved the GRI B level for transparency and disclosure. It is the first year Shaw has earned the + rating, indicating that it has received external assurance from Deloitte & Touche LLP for the report’s content.
In addition, the report also received an Application Level Check from the Global Reporting Initiative.
