Shaw Opens Family Health Center

Dalton, GA, Nov. 7, 2013 -- Shaw Industries has opened the Shaw Family Health Center, a full-service clinic for company employees and their dependents covered by the company’s health plan.

“People wonder why we are doing this,” Shaw CEO Vance Bell told the Dalton Daily Citizen. “Well, in a rapidly changing health care market we want to make sure that our Shaw associates and their family members continue to have access to quality primary medical care.”

The clinic is operated by QuadMed, a national company specializing in operating corporate health clinics. It includes one physician, three nurse practitioners, a physical therapist, a registered dietitian and a diabetes educator.
