Ringgold, GA, Dec. 2, 2009--Catoosa County will provide tax incentives for Shaw Industries to keep a plant open here, according to the Rome News Tribune.
County commissioners on Tuesday, Dec.1, approved the incentives, which include a 15-year agreement with Shaw.
In return for Shaw committing to install a minimum of $12 million worth of equipment, keeping its current employees and hiring additional employees, the county will not require taxes to be paid on the equipment for five years.
Shaw earlier announced it is closing another plant in Ringgold.
