Propex Backing on Carpet in Domotex Innovations Area

Chattanooga, TN, Feb. 20, 2015 -- Propex said that its backing on carpet made by Edel Tapijt was selected for the innovative products area at Domotex.

The carpet style “Majestic” is the world’s first fitted carpet made from 100% recycled PET bottles, and it incorporates Propex's Artis and EOS backing systems.

Artis, introduced in 2011, is a polyester primary backing developed for modular carpet tile that combines the characteristics of woven and spunbond backings into one system.

EOS is a secondary polyester backing for broadloom and tile made with at least 90% post-consumer recycled materials.
